...and don't forget: armbow or crossbow, a smaller bow on your arm for rangers, maybe even 1-handed or faster with weaker dmg!!!

What do you guys think?

I dont sign to new big dmg weapons generally, but for new profession liek barbarian or some with lower armors but greater 2h dmg weapons would be really cool. dual wield weapons are in assassin class.

but if not in next faction, Anet should really think of adding these 2h weapons to new professions to 3rd release on gw saga for sure! good idea overall imo /signed

I would love this. Not only is my Long Sword almost the length for it spacially with my tiny warrior but it would be really nice to actually have more diverse items to use.

Why not add two-handed swords and such as a new weapon mastery attribute in subsequent chapters?
They can still b somewhat balanced: Great Swords - Attack speed slightly greater than taht of the hammer, but instead of KD, can specialize in gashes or something along those lines.

btw, i think i read somewhere taht new professions were unlikely for chp3 atm, so why not more attributes for current classes??

wielding a katana from factions with one hand will look stupid imo. So i say Bring on the two handed swords.

It still wouldnt be cool, or balanced.

Sorry folks, not gonna happen on a current class, or any future class that uses the current attributes.

It is true, the damage and effectiveness of skills include the kind of weapon and damage that go along with them. But they could make 2 handed swords and axes which use the same attribute as normal swords and axes, but have a totaly different set of skills available to them.

For example, points in sword mastery would improve damage on Sword and 2 handed swords, but a totaly new set of skills would be made for 2 handed swords, and none of these skills would be interchangable with either weapon.

If you look at the number of skills in Sword (8), Axe (9), and Hammer (11), they are about half as many as other classes, if they made another 6 or 7 skills for two handed swords and axes in each attribute, Warriors would still have less skills in that attribute then many other classes, not that it realy matters since the real balance is the number of skills you can bring. In this way new grades of weapon, same type but different wield, would be available to warrior, with skills balanced for the damage and speed of that weapon, wile remaining in that attribute.

Warriors could still use skills in that attribute of either 1 handed or 2 handed type by switching out weapon sets, the damage would be balanced for the weapon. This is rather comparable to an Elementist switching out Spell modifying weapons when using multiple elements.

In this way Anet could provide 2 handed swords and Axes wile retaining the balance of damage on skills for each, but not having to make totaly new attributes.

On a side note, if something like this was added to warrior, something of equal improvement and advantage should be considered for multiple jobs (elementist most importantly IMO), because having a better damage option and new perhaps more effective skills a significant plus.

New class with 2 handed sword? Samurai, best not to make something to simular to warrior, Katana are a whole different kind of sword wielding.
